The bride and groom on the recessional, catching each other's eye in the seconds after the ceremony ends. These are the small private moments inside the public part of a wedding day, and they happen quickly: a look, a small laugh, the recognition that the formal part is over and the rest of the night is theirs. As a photographer, you have one chance.
The Royal Ontario Museum is a remarkable place to be married. The best part for me as the photographer is glancing up during the reception and noticing a dinosaur skeleton on the wall a few feet from where the couple is being toasted. It is not something you see every day.
